Theaters, which recently opened after the lockdown, appear to be closing again in Telangana. This seems to be due to the controversy between filmmakers and exhibitors. Theater owners are demanding that the same rights as for multiplexes be extended to single screens. An ultimatum has been issued to implement a percentage system similar to multiplexes. He also said that the big movie should be released 6 weeks after its release and the small movie should be released in OTT only after a gap of 4 weeks. They warned that theaters would close from March 1 if their demands were not met.
